Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 27, 2025 – NEA ShareHope will be hosting its 16th annual Walk of Remembrance and Hope in September as it continues to support families who have lost an infant.

Director of the ShareHope program at the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation, June Copenhaver, said the free event features music, speakers and more. There is also a main banner everyone can sign, which two people carry each year as they walk.

“It’s a time where we all come together to honor of those babies who have been lost and the families who lost them and support each other,” Copenhaver said. “It’s solemn, but it’s so important. It’s hard to describe because it’s meaningful to the families and they usually get together in pretty large groups. We put out signs with the baby’s names on them and they come, and they decorate them. They’ll put balloons and flowers and all that kind of stuff and then we do a walk that goes all the way around the main campus.”

Participants can buy T-shirts and yard signs beforehand. Click here to place an order before the Sept. 5 deadline or to register for the event. T-shirts and yard signs are $20 each.

The walk will be held on Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. in front of the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital Clinic, located at 4802 E. Johnson Ave.

The event is not a fundraiser, she said, it is “just to share memories.”

According to the ShareHope website, the program is made possible through the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation, providing support services for anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death. All services free of charge.

Services include phone and face-to-face support, resource packets, memorial events, training for caregivers, bedside companions, and more.

It is funded through the foundation, memorials, honorariums and gifts from the community and NEA Baptist employees.

To donate to the program, contact Copenhaver at 870-936-8400.
