UPDATE 6:20 p.m.:
The NWS canceled the tornado warning for the northwestern parts of Craighead County. It remains in effect until 6:30 p.m. for Greene, Clay and Dunklin counties.
“The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has weakened. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled,” the NWS said.
UPDATE 6:14 p.m.:
The NWS issued an update at 6:09 p.m., saying a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted near Oak Grove Heights, or near Paragould. It is moving at 55 mph. The NWS said this is radar-indicated rotation.
The NWS added that damaging winds are headed to Jonesboro. The NWS also reported that there were 67.5 mph winds in Jonesboro.

Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The National Weather Service placed part of Craighead County under a tornado warning.
A tornado warning is in effect for northwestern Craighead County, as well as Greene County, southern Clay County and southwestern Dunklin County. It is in effect until 6:30 p.m.
According to the NWS, a confirmed tornado was located over Minturn, or near Hoxie moving northeast at 55 mph. Hazards include a tornado and quarter-sized hail. This is a weather spotter confirmed tornado.
Affected locations include Paragould, Bono, Rector, Senath, Marmaduke, Crowley’s Ridge State Park, Lake Frierson State Park, Oak Grove Heights, Cardwell, Hornersville, Arbyrd, Lafe, O’Kean, Delaplaine, Egypt, Evening Star, Beech Grove, Walcott, Fontaine, and Crockett.
“Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed,” the NWS said. “Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.”
