Abby Cakes in Jonesboro Announces Closure

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Abby Cakes announced it will soon be closing.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, owner Abby Felkins said while the business has continued to grow over the past eight-and-a-half years, there were “still other paths waiting to be explored.”

“Sometimes life leads us in other directions, and while this was truly a young girl’s dream come true, I believe there are still other paths waiting to be explored,” Felkins wrote in the post. “Thank you for being here and growing with me. Thank you for supporting us over the years, for choosing us, for celebrating your special moments with us, and for allowing Abby Cakes to be a part of your lives.”

Felkins also thanked all employees, both past and current, as well as customers, for their support and service.

The business’s last day will be May 1. The post added that all previously placed orders will be fulfilled.

Located at 3500 E. Highland Drive, Abby Cakes is a full-service bakery making cakes for weddings and other events, as well as scones, macarons, cookies, and more. It is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
