ASU System Audit Executive Mandy Walker Earns CISA Certification

Little Rock, AR – Contributed – Mandy Walker, chief audit executive for the Arkansas State University System, has successfully completed certification as a certified information systems auditor (CISA).

Walker joined the ASU System in 2022 and oversees all internal audit operations. The CISA certification is a globally recognized credential offered by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) for professionals who audit, control, monitor and assess IT and business systems.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented internal audit team led by Mandy serving the ASU System,” said Dr. Todd Shields, president of the ASU System.

“In a world where cybersecurity and information technology risks are constantly evolving, Mandy’s commitment to continuing her education and staying current on emerging trends are invaluable to our institutions.”

Walker is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, certified internal auditor and internal audit practitioner.

With more than 20 years of experience in government accounting and auditing, she serves on the Arkansas State Society of CPA’s Accounting Principles and Auditing Committee, the Institute of Internal Auditors-Arkansas Chapter Board, and volunteers for the kickstarter program and AI committee with the Association of College and University Auditors (ACUA).
