Bono man killed in crash on I-57 in Jackson County

Jackson County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Bono man was killed and a passenger injured in a violent crash Tuesday night on Interstate 57 near the river bridge in Jackson County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. on April 7 on northbound I-57.

Investigators say a 2026 Buick Encore traveling northbound left the roadway, struck a fence, and continued northeast before becoming airborne. The vehicle then hit the ground front-first and rolled over.

The driver, 49-year-old David Roberts of Bono, was killed in the crash.

A passenger, Angela Roberts, 49, also of Bono, was injured and transported to UAMS for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by Arkansas State Police Cpl. Jeffrey Richardson.
