Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Crews responded to a highway wreck just outside of Jonesboro early Wednesday morning.

Jonesboro E911 Dispatch reported the wreck at 4:58 a.m., saying all southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 49 were closed due to a motor vehicle accident.

Capt. Matt Kirby with the Craighead County Sheriff’s Department told JRN the wreck involved a car and a semi truck. He noted that Arkansas State Police worked the crash, and that the scene had been cleared.
