Fatal crash on Highway 18

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Two vehicles collided Monday evening, resulting in one fatality near Hytrol Conveyor Company.

Around 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 17, 23-year-old Traven Weaver, from Lake City, was driving westbound on Highway 18 at Kathleen Avenue when he collided with a vehicle headed eastbound.

According to the official report, “Both operators advanced through the intersection at yellow lights and collided. Vehicle one partially overturned, striking a utility pole.”

Emergency crews responded to the crash, and Weaver was pronounced dead. No other fatalities or injuries were reported. Road conditions at the time was dry and the weather was clear.
