Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Aug. 21, 2025 – St. Bernards Healthcare announced its selection to Forbes’ “America’s Best-In-State Employers 2025” list released on Thursday, joining a group of 25 employers in Arkansas.

St. Bernards’ ranking marks the only organization based in eastern Arkansas with a presence on the list.

Forbes Media LLC compiled the rankings in partnership with statistics portal and industry-ranking provider Statista Inc.

The list stems from a nationwide, independent sample survey of more than 160,000 workers among companies with 500 or more employees. The survey included companies from all industry sectors, analyzing more than 2 million employer evaluations.

St. Bernards Healthcare President and CEO Chris Barber said St. Bernards always strives to provide an environment where individuals can thrive in the work environment.

“We believe the St. Bernards mission ‘to provide Christ-like healing to the community’ demands having a talented and capable team who passionately lives it,” Barber said. “The work our team does has far-reaching impacts within our region.”

Forbes based its evaluation on both personal evaluations, where employees recommended their place of employment, and public evaluations, where friends and family members of employees or members of the public who work in the same industry recommend a company.

“It’s humbling any time we receive an award from the people who serve here, their loved ones and our colleagues,” Barber said. “We look forward to continuing to lead and innovate how we operate as an employer. Future healthcare delivery depends on it.”
