Police later received a call from a victim reporting that her credit cards and $500 in $20 bills had been taken from her vehicle. When Bell was arrested, Trumann officers located $420 in $20 bills on Bell.

Officers also spoke with another victim who discovered her vehicle had been rummaged through. She said she found a laptop inside that did not belong to her, which had Bell’s name on the front screen. When the laptop was brought to the hospital, Bell was able to turn it on.

The inmate roster for the Craighead County Detention Center shows that Bell was arrested on Oct. 27. He appeared the following day in front of District Judge David Boling, who found probable cause to charge him with the following offenses:

  • Breaking or entering/articles from vehicle (Class D felony)
  • Theft of property – credit/debit cards (Class D felony)
  • Theft $1,000 or less – from vehicle (Class A misdemeanor)
