Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Jonesboro man faces multiple felonies after police said he used his cell phone to coordinate drug sales out of a home located near a church.

District Judge David Boling found probable cause Aug. 28 to charge 32-year-old Quincy Lamont Rainey with the following offenses:

  • Use of a communication device (Class C)
  • Possession of a Schedule I/II (not meth or cocaine) substance with the purpose to deliver (Class C)
  • Possession of a Schedule VI substance with the purpose to deliver (Class D)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class D)
  • Offenses relating to records, maintaining premises, etc. (Class B)

In the bedroom, agents were able to find 50 grams of marijuana in a jar, plastic material used for packaging marijuana for sale, and four oxycodone pills. Multiple messages were also found on Rainey’s phone regarding the sales of marijuana and pills.

The affidavit noted that the home where the search took place sits across the street from a church, which is a drug-free zone.

Rainey is being held on a $35,000 cash/surety bond awaiting his next court appearance scheduled for Oct. 26.
