Jonesboro Man Killed in Greene County Motorcycle Crash

Greene County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Jonesboro man was killed Tuesday evening in a motorcycle crash in rural Greene County.

According to the Arkansas State Police, the crash happened around 5:50 p.m. on April 14 at the intersection of State Highway 304 and State Highway 90.

Authorities say 51-year-old Cecil M. Meridith was traveling eastbound on Highway 304 on a 2015 BMW R1200 motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve. The motorcycle left the roadway, overturned in a ditch, and Meridith was ejected.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the crash. No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation by the Arkansas State Police.
