Jonesboro Police Department to Operate Two Prescription Drug Drop-Off Locations on Saturday

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Jonesboro Police Department (JPD) will be collecting unwanted and unused prescription drugs as part of Arkansas Drug Take Back Day.

On Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., JPD will operate two prescription drug drop-off locations, which are listed below:

  • Sam’s Club: 2405 S. Caraway Road
  • Jonesboro Police Department: 1001 S. Caraway Road

According to a Facebook post from JPD, donations will be taken to various Drug Enforcement Administration drop-off points next week. Those concerned about labels on the outside of bottles can put their pills in a Ziploc bag and drop that off. Needles/sharps and liquids will not be accepted.

In addition, JPD has a drop box located outside of its station where medication can be dropped off at any time.

Arkansas Drug Take Back Day is held each April and October across the state and provides a safe, secure way to dispose of medications and prescription drugs.
