Jonesboro Public Library Announces 2026 Speaker Series

Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library announced its 2026 Speaker Series, a three-part program designed to bring the community together through engaging conversations on local history, leadership, and the future of Northeast Arkansas.

The series will feature three unique events throughout the fall, each highlighting a different topic and audience:

  • Saturday, Sept. 5: Where Stories Live: Stories, Memory, & Belonging in Craighead County (Ages 13 and up)
  • Thursday, Oct. 1: Bold Enough to Begin: Youth Leadership, Confidence, and Community Impact (Ages 15 and up)
  • Thursday, Nov. 5: Looking Ahead with Vision: Leadership, Innovation, and the Future of Northeast Arkansas (All ages)

“Our community is always looking for meaningful conversations. People want opportunities to connect with local leaders and professionals who care about the stories, history, and future of Craighead County. That’s what this Speaker Series is all about,” said Rylie Yawson, marketing and public relations manager for the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library. “At the library, we value our ability to create spaces where people can learn from one another, exchange ideas, and engage in conversations that strengthen our community and enrich the lives of our patrons.”

The Speaker Series is sponsored by Friends of the CCJPL, St. Bernards Healthcare and Medical Group, Farmers & Merchants Bank, NEA Baptist, Arkansas State University Division of Access and Institutional Engagement, and Best Manufacturing.

The Speaker Series is free and open to the public. Additional information, including featured speakers, event times, and registration details, will be announced on the library’s website and social media channels as each event approaches.
