Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A Jonesboro sex offender is facing multiple felony charges after police said he had uploaded child sexual abuse material online.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on Sept. 3, the Jonesboro Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) division received a cybertip from Arkansas State Police.

The tip said that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was contacted by Discord Inc. about a user who uploaded child sexual abuse material. The associated IP address and email linked back to an address in Jonesboro, thus a search warrant on the account was submitted.

Police said 18 videos containing child sexual abuse material were received, containing underage and teenage children engaging in multiple sexual acts. The video was also found to have been reported by Discord.

Upon further investigation, it was found that the IP address returned to 42-year-old Blake Aaron Davis, who is a registered sex offender. The affidavit said that he was previously arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material and had been on probation. Because of this, Davis was required not to have internet access or any electronic devices capable of accessing the internet.

An arrest warrant was issued for Davis, and he was arrested on Oct. 15 by ICAC and U.S. Marshals.

Davis appeared before District Judge Tommy Fowler on Oct. 17, who found probable cause to charge Davis with 18 counts of possession or use of child sexual abuse material and failure to comply with reporting requirements.

Despite a public defender not being there, Fowler gave Davis a $250,000 cash-only bond, calling Davis “a danger to the community.” He was also warned again not to have any access to the internet.

Davis’ next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25.
