Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Court documents show a domestic disturbance in Jonesboro resulted in a man being stabbed by his wife and taken to a hospital.

On July 16, Jonesboro police officers responded to a home on Curtview Drive for a stabbing. The caller told dispatch that a man had been stabbed by his wife, and he was lying on the ground with a knife in his left side.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers did not find the suspect at the scene when they arrived. The victim was taken to a hospital for surgery as he still had the knife in his side.

A detective spoke with the victim before he was taken to surgery and explained that his wife, 45-year-old Tamera Mae Lemley, stabbed him. Information was obtained for Lemley in a previous domestic-related call between her and the victim, and a bench warrant for her arrest was obtained.

On July 20, Lemley was found in Harrisburg and taken into custody. She appeared before District Judge David Boling on July 22. He found probable cause to charge her with one class B felony: First-degree domestic battering/serious physical injury.

Boling said that, after consulting with law enforcement, the bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety.

Lemley’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 30. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years and fines up to $15,000.
