NWS issued severe thunderstorm watch for Craighead County

Craighead County – JonesboroRightNow.com – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in effect until 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The watch includes 10 counties in east Arkansas, including Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, and St. Francis.

According to the NWS, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near College City to near Swifton. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea-sized hail are possible.
