Part of downtown Jonesboro road to close beginning Thursday

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 6, 2025 – A portion of a downtown Jonesboro road will be closed beginning Thursday, Aug. 7.

According to a Facebook post from the City of Jonesboro, Cate Street from Main Street to the alleyway at Church Street will be closed starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. It will remain closed until 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10.

The post said the closure is to facilitate beautification efforts downtown.
