Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug. 25, 2025 – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Drucilla: Drucilla is a female kitten from our “Buffy” litter; she’s eight weeks old and has been in the shelter for two weeks. She’s up to date on all of her shots and is playful, energetic, and friendly. Drucilla is definitely ready for her furever home!

Meet Moose: Moose is a male puppy from our “Archie” litter. He’s 25 weeks old and has been in the shelter for four weeks. He’s already been microchipped and neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccines and preventatives. At 30 lbs., Moose is an affectionate and playful love bug!
