Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 15, 2025 – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.

JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.

Meet Oz: Oz is a male kitten who is 11 weeks old. He’s been in the shelter for five weeks after coming in with his litter. A domestic short hair, Oz has already been neutered and microchipped, so he’s ready to go to a home! He’s playful and friendly and loves other kittens/cats.
