Rice to be topic during Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club meeting Tuesday

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A representative from the Northeast Rice Research and Extension Center (NERREC) will speak to the Jonesboro University Heights Lions Club during its bi-weekly meeting this coming Tuesday.

The representative will speak about the NERREC’s programs and activities. The center is located on 600 acres in Poinsett County and is part of the University of Arkansas’s Division of Agriculture. It conducts research on rice production practices that balance maximizing farm income and conserving natural resources.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 a.m. in the Eggsellent Café, located at 906 S. Caraway Road. Visitors are welcome.
