Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued an executive order Monday allocating an additional $35,000 for severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes.

The order authorizes the funds to be “used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to defray both program and administrative costs.”

The funds will come from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund and amend the original funding provided as a result of the severe storms and tornadoes on April 2, 2025.

The original order allocated $250,000 from the fund as a response to the EF3 tornado that hit Craighead County and the subsequent flooding in the region last April.
