Where to Take Your Dog this Summer

SUMMER FUN GUIDE – JonesboroRightNow.com – When taking your family out for fun activities this summer, be sure to include your four-legged family members, too! We’ve created a list of the best places in the area for you and your furry friends to soak up summer.

This recently opened park has dedicated spaces for both small dogs (under 30 pounds) and large dogs (over 30 pounds) to play and socialize. In addition, it has various ramps and play fixtures, a shaded area to rest and relax, and a water foundation. The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.


Also known as Earl Bell Dog Park, this park includes play areas for dogs over 30 pounds and under 30 pounds, as well as a pavilion, picnic tables, and water and waste stations. Dogs can roam and play both on- and off-leash here. The park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.


Dogs are welcome at Craighead Forest Park and can run or walk the trails with their owners. In addition, the park includes a dog jumping pier, located between Access 1 and 2, where pooches can jump into the lake for a swim.

Dogs are welcome in the restaurant’s outdoor space, which has plush grass. Owners are asked to keep their pets on a leash and to clean up after them.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Lebowski’s outdoor patio allows you to relax with your dogs. The area includes dog bowls, treats, and a waste station. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


This dog-friendly bar and restaurant allows you and your pooch to hang out and relax. The Porch’s hours are Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.


The Parsonage has a dog-friendly patio, so you can enjoy some Southern comfort food alongside your canine right from the comforts of downtown Jonesboro. Water bowls for your dog are available upon request. The Parsonage is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.


This 15-acre park, maintained by the City of Paragould’s Parks and Recreation Department, includes a dog park as part of its amenities. This park has sections for both large and small dogs.
