The Night Before – Eagle Christmas

’Twas the Night Before Christmas — Eagle Rocks Edition

’Twas the night before Christmas in the NEA,
And The Eagle Rocks kept rockin’ away.
The stockings were hung by the console with care,
Knowing classic rock magic would be on the air..

The Bob & Tom Show, all snug for the night,
Had wrapped up the morning with laughs left and right.
With Chick’s one-liners and Kristi’s news tight,
They stirred up Eagle Rockers with their usual delight.

Mitch Mahan at midday—what a smooth flight.
He kept Jonesboro rocking straight through daylight.
With Zeppelin and Skynyrd and tales from the booth,
He gave every workday a punch of pure truth.

Then Phil Jamison rolled in when the afternoon hit,
Cranking out classics and keeping things lit.
The Eagle Happy Hour took requests on the fly—
If you wanted your favorite, Phil was your guy.
From AC/DC to The Doors on demand,
He played the soundtrack of all Northeast Arkansas land.

And when darkness settled on rooftops and docks,
The Box that Rocks, Kevin Box, punched the clocks.
With that big booming voice and a night full of riffs,
He carried The Eagle through moonlit guitar lifts.
From Hendrix to Journey, the playlist was tight,
With Kevin Box ruling the rock-and-roll night.

Across all of Jonesboro, listeners tuned tight,
From the Ridge down to campus, from farms in the light.
The Eagle kept soaring, with classics so right,
As Santa cruised by in his sleigh taking flight.

And we heard the whole station exclaim with delight—

“Merry Christmas, Northeast Arkansas…
And to all, a rockin’ good night!”
