DOGS THAT ROCK!!!
DOGS THAT ROCK!!!

Welcome to The Eagle’s Dogs That Rock! Jonesboro Radio Group is helping find forever homes for deserving dogs from the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society in Jonesboro. Each week we feature at least three Dogs That Rock available for adoption. Please take the time to look at all of our dog pictures. If you see a dog you connect with, call the NEAHS at 870-932-5185. Visit their website: www.neahs.org. Or see them at 6111 East Highland Drive in JBR behind ABF Trucking.

A litter of 5 puppies was dumped in the middle of farm fields between Jonesboro and Lake City. Several farmers and families in the area fed and watered the pups until we could get them last week. It took 3 trips to the ditch they were living in to get all 5 because they were so scared! We got the last one on Friday (in the pouring rain with the ditch filling up!). Now that we have them, they’re very friendly and affectionate. No longer scared, they’re playing with one another and with staff like lab-mix puppies are supposed to! There is one male and 4 females, and they appear to be around 16 weeks old. They’re surprisingly healthy after being out on their own, but they won’t be available until after their second puppy shots on 6/5. Until then, they’re living in a room in our isolation building to keep them safe. They’ll all be spayed/neutered and microchipped before going home. We’re calling them the “H” pups– Hank, Harley, Harper, Heidi, and Honey– and they’re a prime example of how the NEA village consistently steps up to take care of the community’s animals!

The Blue Wave from tiny Curaçao is making World Cup history

Before the tournament even begins, Curaçao has already crafted a story like none other in World Cup history. A tiny island country — autonomous territory, if you prefer — of about 156,000 residents in the Caribbean is now the smallest, both in terms of population and land mass, to make it to soccer's biggest stage.
