DOGS THAT ROCK: THE ARKANSAS PET SAVERS

Welcome to The Eagle’s Dogs That Rock! Jonesboro Radio Group is helping find forever homes for deserving dogs at different shelters around Northeast Arkansas. Each week we feature at least three Dogs That Rock available for adoption. Please take the time to look at all of our dog pictures. If you see a dog you connect with, call the contact information provided for the featured shelter for the week.

This week we are featuring dogs available for adoption from The Arkansas Pet Savers or TAPS. TAPS primary focus is saving dogs from local pounds on the euthanasia lists, fostering them to a healthy condition, and then transporting or adopting out so they can find their forever homes. We are a foster based organization, therefore, we have no facilities. All dogs are house in local volunteer foster homes. During this time all dogs are seen by our partner veterinary clinics to get assessed on all medical needs. We work closely with over 50 northern rescues who select our dogs to be transported and adopted to forever homes. All dogs receive a health certificate from the vets for safe and healthy travel. To see more dogs available from TAPS, please go to www.thearkansaspetsavers.com. Thank you.

MEET OUR DOG OF THE WEEK: Dexter
If you’re looking for a dog already trained and well behaved, this is your guy. This handsome fella is extremely well rounded and has been in our foster care for 1 1/2 years and is ready for his forever home. Dexter is a Shepard mix dog, 2.5 years old, 67 pounds, and has already been neutered. He is HW-, and is up to date on all his vaccines and meds. He is fully trained, so no need to potty train this guy. Dexter is great with other dogs, and he has never met a stranger. He loves everything and everybody. He would love some room to run and stretch his long legs, but he is also perfectly content to just hanging around with you on the sofas. All he wants is snuggles and love. This gentle guy is 100% a good boy.
