The year was 1982 and I was in my senior year of high school. That year Whitesnake released their album “Saints & Sinners” featuring the song, “Here I Go Again”. But the song didn’t see much chart success until it was re-recorded for Whitesnake’s 1987 self-titled album. The ’87 version hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Once the official music video was released in ’87, featuring actress Tawny Kitaen dancing in lingerie on a couple of Jaguar XLs, the song found worldwide recognition and made Whitesnake a household name.
